Wela Creative Studio Spring 2019 Internship

The Wela Creative Studio internship program is a one-of-a-kind experience where you’ll get to learn about the inner workings of a company in a hands-on environment! The internship can be completed for college credit OR volunteer hours (it’s all about building your resume, right?). Perks include tons of learning, a relaxed dress code, complimentary branding/blogging courses, company outings, and a seriously fun work environment!

Available Positions

 

Editorial Intern

 

As an Editorial Intern, you’ll be working closely with our Editor, Lauren! Key responsibilities in this position include crafting blog posts, writing social media captions, and creating content for various client projects. Your day-to-day will look a little like this: cultivating story ideas, meeting with your editor to pitch ideas, assisting with client projects, and taking our blog to the next level!

Graphic Design Intern

 

As a graphic design intern, you’ll be working with the Creative and Marketing team to turn ideas into engaging graphics. You’ll create a wide variety of graphics and images such as Pinterest graphics, social media graphics, branding materials, and blog post graphics. Organization is key for us, so you’ll also assist in managing and organizing the design department when it comes to internal documents and clients documents. Our ideal Graphic Design intern will be able to understand the Wela Creative Studio brand and create graphics that accurately fit the color, look, and overall feel of the company. Knowledge of Adobe Photoshop, InDesign, and Illustrator is a must.

Marketing Intern

 

As a marketing intern, you’ll work closely with our company President & Creative Director Amy! For this role, we’re looking for someone who has marketing experience (having or working towards a marketing degree is a plus) and really grasps the Wela Creative brand. Each day on the job will be different, but some responsibilities will include posting on social, developing marketing strategies, streamlining email communication, analyzing data, researching best practices, and more!

Photography Intern

 

Under our Creative team, the Photography intern will be able to quickly adapt to our brand’s visual aesthetic. Day-to-day responsibilities include planning and executing shoots for Wela Creative Studio, Stock That Rocks, and our brand photography clients, editing photos in Photoshop and Lightroom, and styling photos. Our Photography intern must have experience shooting with DSLRs and know Adobe Photoshop and Lightroom like the back of their hand.

Stock That Rocks Intern

 

As a STR intern, you’ll play a key role in the launch and management of our new stock photo website, Stock That Rocks! Responsibilities will include assisting with the planning and execution of photoshoots, brainstorming creative marketing ideas, maintaining the backend of the website by uploading and organizing photos, and helping with customer service hands-on. If you’re passionate about photography and want to play a key role in the start of a new company, this is the internship for you!

Business Development Intern

 

In this position, you’ll be working closely with our Co-Founder and Head of Business Development, Lorena! If you have an interest in entrepreneurship and are passionate about all things business strategy, this is your dream internship. Key responsibilities in this position include assisting Lorena with her daily duties at Wela Creative Studio, helping to manage her social media and company Majka, and growing her blog, Call Me Lore. Each day on the job will look different, but Lorena will count on you to be her right hand gal! You’ll gain valuable insight into what it’s like to be an entrepreneur and blogger.

Lauren Abraham is the Editor at Wela Creative Studio! She has a passion for writing, editing, and anything where she can be creative. In her free time, she can be found working on her personal blog, spending time with family, or getting ice cream with her friends in downtown Phoenix.
